Description
Mingachevir State Drama Theater named after Marziya Davudova, founded in 1968, is an important cultural institution of the city of Mingachevir. Since the opening of the theater with the play "Almaz" by J. Jabbarli, it has become a place where the works of both classical and modern playwrights come to life. In 1974, the theater was named after the People's Artist of the USSR Marziya Davudova, which emphasizes its importance and contribution to the development of theatrical art.
The theater's repertoire includes such outstanding productions as "The Village Girl" by M. Ibragimov, "The Government Inspector" by N. Gogol, "Hadji Gara" by M. Akhundov and many others. The theater is proud of its talented actors and directors, including the current chief director Z. K. Abbasov.
