Olimpija Football Club is a Slovenian professional football team based in the city of Ljubljana. Currently, Olimpia actively participates in the Slovenian First League competitions. The club's history deservedly includes winning the Slovenian First League four times in a row — in the period from 1992 to 1995. The team was also awarded the title of four-time winners of the Slovenian Cup for the years 1993, 1996, 2000 and 2003. An impressive list of achievements includes winning the Slovenian Super Cup in 1995. In 2004, the Olympia club temporarily ceased its activities, but was restored in 2005. An important antagonist of Olimpia is the Maribor team, whose matches are considered classic Eternal Derbies.
