Nizami Kino (Cinema Center)

Nizami Kino is a cinema located in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, on Bulbul Avenue. This historical building was built in 1934 and is named after the outstanding poet Nizami Ganjavi.

In November 2011, the Nizami cinema opened after major repairs and reconstruction. The majestic opening ceremony was attended by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva. 

Visitors to the cinema encounter the history of this place already in the foyer of the building, where photographs reflecting the rich history of the cinema are displayed on stands. Inside the building, on the ground floor there are two cinema halls with 50 and 80 seats, on the second floor there is a large cinema hall with 500 seats, and on the fifth floor there is a VIP cinema hall with 24 seats.

In addition, the cinema offers visitors various amenities. There are retail kiosks on the ground floor, a cafe on the second floor, a cafe-club and press center on the fourth floor, and a 250-seat restaurant and administrative offices on the fifth and sixth floors. A special feature of the restaurant is a mechanism that allows you to open and close the ceiling depending on the time of year.

On the pediment of the cinema building there is a monument to Nizami Ganjavi, which gives it a special charm and symbolic significance.
