Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre

The Azerbaijan State Academic Musical Theatre, located in Baku, is a significant cultural institution founded in 1934. Under the direction of Honored Art Worker of Azerbaijan Aligismet Lalayev, the theatre underwent a major reconstruction in 2010-2013, which resulted in the renovation of the building, the installation of modern lighting and sound equipment, and a stage with a 360-degree rotation. The hall has a capacity of 460 people. The theatre also has a recording studio and a rehearsal hall.

After recently renaming it the Azerbaijan State Musical Theatre, the repertoire was significantly expanded, which allowed it to include not only comedies, but also performances of other genres.
