Ganja State National Drama Theatre

Located in the historic city of Ganja, the Ganja State National Drama Theatre is an important cultural institution in Azerbaijan. Founded in 1921, the theatre has a rich history dating back to the late 19th century, when amateur theatre troupes began their activities in Ganja. The theatre has staged works by both Azerbaijani and world playwrights, including plays by S. Vurgun, M. F. Akhundov and D. Jabbarli. 

In 2022, the theatre moved to a new modern building located on the picturesque bank of the Ganja River, which became a significant event in the cultural life of the region.
