The Formula 1 Grand Prix will be held at the Baku City Circuit from September 19 to 21
Some of the participants of this exciting event are already known. Official sources confirmed that Max Verstappen and Liam Lawson will compete for the Red Bull Racing team. Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will represent the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will take to the track from Scuderia Ferrari HP, and MoneyGram Haas F1 Team will send Esteban Ocon and Oliver Berman to compete. Last year, the young talent from McLaren Oscar Piastri became the winner in Baku, for whom this victory was the second significant one after the triumph in Abu Dhabi.
The upcoming season promises to be no less intense and full of interesting competition. Max Verstappen, representing Red Bull Racing, is a four-time world champion in the Formula 1 class since 2021. He is distinguished by a calm and confident driving style, as well as an unrivaled sense of direction, which allows him to always choose the optimal lines on the track.
Fernando Alonso, driving for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, has repeatedly entered the top 10 in 2024, securing his team fifth place in the constructors' standings. More than 100 podiums won in 2023 underline his experience and skill, which makes him one of Verstappen's main rivals.
The Baku City Circuit, one of the longest in Formula 1, runs along the seaside boulevard and historical areas of the capital of Azerbaijan. It is six kilometers long and is challenging even for the most experienced drivers. A particularly dangerous section runs through the Old City along the ancient fortress wall, where the road is only 7.6 meters wide.
Visiting the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix is a unique opportunity to enjoy the performances of the world's best racers on one of the most difficult and picturesque tracks on the planet.
