UFC Fight Night 260 to be held in Baku

Some of the fights in the tournament have already been announced by the organizers. Jamahal Hill will face Khalil Rountree Jr. in the light heavyweight division.

As of 2025, Hill's professional mixed martial arts record is 12 wins, 3 losses, 0 draws, and it is for this large number of knockouts that he was nicknamed "Sweet Dreams." "Sweet Dreams" did not begin training in martial arts until he was nineteen. The most fateful moment in his life came when he and coach Chad Pomeroy began a free thirty-day aikido program at the Toyota Center in Michigan. Soon enough, "Sweet Dreams" appeared on the amateur MMA scene, wreaking havoc and knocking out opponents. In 2017, at the age of twenty-six, Hill took the plunge and turned pro, becoming a UFC champion just five years later.

Hill’s opponent, Khalil Rountree, is no ordinary man either. His nickname, “War Horse,” also comes from his prowess in the Octagon – he holds the third-most knockouts in UFC light heavyweight history (seven wins). Growing up without a father, he was small and overweight, and it wasn’t until he started watching The Ultimate Fighter, a 300-pound athlete, at the age of 20 that Khalil decided to change his life and take up martial arts. Six short years later, Rountree was on The Ultimate Fighter finale himself, vying for a spot in the UFC. In 2017, he defeated Paul Craig at UFC Fight Night: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio to earn a major victory. The mixed martial artist loves listening to music and dancing, and is a big fan of the disco band Village People. When he’s not fighting, he can be found hanging out with his furry friend, Bruce the dog. War Horse’s simple style definitely sets him apart. Khalil is also known for inspiring others and encouraging people to follow their dreams. He is truly a role model for black American youth. Rountree has amassed hundreds of thousands of fans today, both on and off social media.

UFC Fight Night 260 tickets are a unique chance to see MMA stars fight in different weight classes.
