DTX-nin Mədəniyyət Mərkəzi (Cultural Center of the State Security Service (KGB)) is a unique multifunctional venue located in a historical building, which is an example of 20th century architecture. A visit to this center will allow you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past and enjoy high-level cultural events.
The building in which the Cultural Center is located has a rich history. Previously, there was a church here, built at the beginning of the 20th century according to the design of the famous architect Józef Płoszko. However, the church was destroyed in 1931 by order of the Bolsheviks.
Later, in the 30s, it was decided to create a cultural club for the internal affairs and security agencies, and it was here that a building known as the “Dzerzhinsky Club” was built. Later, after the Great Patriotic War, construction work was completed according to the project of the Azerbaijan State Design Institute.
The Cultural Center of the State Security Service is not only a venue for various cultural and social events, but also a place of historical significance. Various important events took place here, including congresses with the participation of high-ranking government officials and anniversary ceremonies of the border troops.
The modern Cultural Center of the State Security Service offers its visitors high-quality sound and lighting equipment. There is a concert hall for 600 people, a small hall for 100 people, a conference room and a restaurant for 120 people.
