Baku is preparing to host the 17th stage of the Formula 1 Grand Prix!

The Baku circuit is known for its long straights where cars can reach maximum speed, as well as tricky corners that require a high level of skill and precision from the drivers. This year, all ten Formula 1 teams will take part in the competition, each of which will field two drivers. Among the participants are reigning world champion Max Verstappen and his teammate Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing, seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton and George Russell of Mercedes, as well as Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari. Let's not forget such talented drivers as Lando Norris of McLaren and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, who are capable of springing surprises.

The Baku circuit is a serious test for both drivers and their cars. Here, powerful acceleration on the straights is important, but also reliable brakes for negotiating difficult corners. The teams will work hard to set up their cars to achieve the perfect balance between speed and handling. Pirelli, the Formula 1 tyre supplier since 2011, will provide the teams with high-tech rubber that will help them cope with any track conditions.

The race weekend in Baku promises to be full of adrenaline and cultural events. The capital of Azerbaijan will become a centre of attraction for motorsport fans from all over the world. During this time, six different drivers have won at this track: Nico Rosberg, Daniel Ricciardo, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas, Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen. Sergio Perez has won here twice, in 2021 and 2023, making him one of the favourites for the upcoming race. However, the competition will be tough: drivers such as Verstappen and Hamilton are also looking to add this victory to their list. The battle for first place will continue until the very finish, where the skill of the driver and the well-coordinated work of the team will play a key role in achieving victory.

Sergio Perez holds the record for the number of podiums in Baku - he finished in the top three here five times. For comparison: Max Verstappen has only two top-3 finishes on this track.
