Yunus Ozyavuz, known under the pseudonym Sagopa Kajmer, was born on August 17, 1978 in Samsun. His music career began with working as a DJ on a local radio, and then he went to Istanbul, where he graduated from Istanbul University with a degree in Persian language and literature. In 1999, he created the rap group Kuvvetmira and took the pseudonym Silahsız Kuvvet, under which he released several successful albums.

Since 2004, Sagopa Kajmer began releasing solo albums, which quickly gained popularity among fans of Turkish rap. His works such as “‎Bir Pesimistin Gözyaşları» (Tears of a Pessimist), “‎Romantizma” (Romanticism) and “‎Kalp Hastası” (Heart Disease), became real hits and brought him worldwide fame.
